Canine Companion Therapy

Delta is a specially-trained Canine Companion Facility Dog who works with Pamela Bonaccorso, owner and early interventionist.   Before being matched with Pamela, Delta was trained for 2 years by Canine Companions for Independence volunteers.  Together, Pamela and Delta underwent a rigorous interactive training course, and graduated in November 2008.  They've worked at Scribbles and Giggles ever since.

Facility dogs such as Delta can perform over 40 commands, and can assist children attaining goals.

In her work at Scribbles and Giggles, Delta assists children to participate in therapeutic and educational activities.  Children respond to Delta's quiet and gentle nature.  She's always able to engage them and help them enjoy their day.
